
Interlagos, officially known as Autódromo José Carlos Pace, is a famous motor racing circuit located in São Paulo, Brazil. It first opened in 1940 and is best known as the home of the Brazilian Grand Prix. The circuit is named after Brazilian Formula One driver José Carlos Pace, who won his only Grand Prix in Brazil in 1975. Interlagos is known for its anti-clockwise layout, elevation changes, and exciting racing. Famous sections include the Senna S, the long Curva do Sol, and the uphill run through the final corners back onto the main straight. The circuit has hosted many dramatic Formula One races, including several championship-deciding moments. Today, Interlagos remains one of the most loved tracks in motorsport because of its history, passionate fans, and unpredictable races.
