Sepang International Circuit is a famous motor racing circuit located near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It opened in 1999 and was designed by Hermann Tilke as one of the first modern Formula One-style circuits of its era. The track is best known for hosting the Malaysian Grand Prix and the Malaysian motorcycle Grand Prix. Sepang is known for its wide layout, long straights, heavy braking zones, and technical corners. Its hot and humid climate makes races physically demanding for drivers and riders, while tropical rain can quickly change conditions on track. The circuit has hosted Formula One, MotoGP, endurance racing, touring cars, and many regional motorsport events. Today, Sepang remains one of Asia’s most important racing venues and a key part of Malaysian motorsport history.
