The Nürburgring is a famous motorsport complex located in the Eifel mountains of Germany. It includes two major circuits: the modern Grand Prix circuit and the legendary Nordschleife. Together, they make the Nürburgring one of the most important and recognizable racing venues in the world. The Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit opened in 1984 and was designed as a safer, modern track for international racing. It has hosted Formula One, endurance racing, touring cars, GT racing, and motorcycle events. The GP layout has technical corners, heavy braking zones, and good spectator facilities, making it very different from the older Nordschleife. The Nordschleife, often called the “Green Hell,” opened in 1927 and is one of the longest and most challenging circuits ever built. It is famous for its huge number of corners, steep elevation changes, narrow sections, and unpredictable weather. The track is used for races such as the Nürburgring 24 Hours, as well as testing and public driving sessions. Today, the Nürburgring remains a symbol of motorsport history, speed, and driver skill.
