GDL Racing ready for 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps

GDL Racing prepares its assault to 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, scheduled for next week (July 24-26). The San Marino-based team continues its effort in the most prestigious international endurance events as it will line up a Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 in the 2014 edition of the famous Belgian race.

Team manager and experienced driver Gianluca De Lorenzi will share the wheel of the German car with Malaysian Keong Liam Lim, Hong Kong’s Nigel Farmer and Canadian Jean-Charles Perrin, that took part on the same track in the 25H Fun Cup a few days ago.

The GDL Racing squad aims to the Gentleman Trophy best result, challenging Aston Martin, Audi, Ferrari and Porsche.

In the same week the Gianluca De Lorenzi’s team will also line up a Porsche 997 in the BRCC support race for Italian Vittorio Bagnasco and Dubai’s Bashar Mardini.

The 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps will kick off on Wednesday with the traditional parade. Free practices and first qualifying sessions are scheduled for Thursday. Saturday - after the morning warm-up - the green light will switch on at 4.30pm with the chequered flag waved on Sunday.
