Wed 07, Feb, 2018

Team Trident is extremely proud to announce that 18-year-old Frenchman Giuliano Alesi will be part of the 2018 line-up for the GP3 Series Championship. The Avignon-based driver will once again represent the Ferrari Driver Academy and is set for his third straight season among the Team Trident ranks, his fourth in single seaters. Last year, he delivered an impressive run which brought him three wins and made him the second most winning driver of 2017 en-route to a fifth place in points.

After making his overall debut in the 2015 French Formula 4 series, cruising to pole and winning from his very first outing, he joined the Team Trident family which enabled him to grow up impressively as a professional and become one of the most interesting prospects in international motor racing.

Giuliano has what it takes to make a further step forward and aim for the 2018 series title, adding up to the Italian squad’s four-car assault to the team championship.

Maurizio Salvadori - Team Owner:

“We are absolutely delighted to announce the extended collaboration with Giuliano Alesi. He has exquisite manners and he is an extremely professional driver with a brilliant future ahead. Our priority will be to support him with the utmost commitment and enable him to aim for the most ambitious goals.”

Giuliano Alesi - car #6:

“I am extremely happy to remain on board with Team Trident for the 2018 GP3 Series! I worked so hard with the team and the Ferrari Driver Academy in the last few seasons. My goal is now to reward them with some absolutely excellent results. I feel ready for a high-profile season!”
