Team Icer Brakes has had another sensational racing weekend at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, another famous motorsport arena hosting round two of the Spanish GT Championship and the Michelin Endurance Series. After winning at the Circuito de Navarra, in Los Arcos, Team Icer Brakes was aiming at equaling is performance in Barcelona. And in the light of the results the drivers, Jesús Díez Villarroel and José Manuel de los Milagros, managed to do it.

The Dodge Viper GT3 entered by Bólido Racing was a prime focus of public attention since the Saturday during free practice sessions. On Sunday´s qualifying session, de los Milagros stormed to pole position in D1C class setting a time of 1:54.186 and beating by almost two-tenths Monlau Competición Porsche 997 GT3 Cup. Besides Team Icer Brakes started third overall on the grid behind two Moslers MT900. It would be a prelude to their unbeatable path in 2014.  Díez Villarroel carried out the start and his stint was rather brilliant, keeping up a good race pace and managing tire wear. When de los Milagros took over from Díez Villarroel, he was able to pass Monlau Porsche once again, retaking the lead and claiming another win in D1C class of the Spanish GT championship and the Michelin Endurance Series. The Spanish duo was 3rd overall, one lap down to the race winners.

Strengthening their lead in the overall classification, Díez Villarroel and de los Milagros shall defend their lead after this season´s summer break, at the Circuit de Valencia on September 13-14.
