Double commitment for Andrea Caldarelli in 2015
Tue 03, Feb, 2015

The last few days have been particularly busy for Andrea Caldarelli. The 2015 plans for the Italian driver have just been unveiled, with him rejoining Toyota for the fifth straight year. After the successful 2014 season, the 24-year-old from Pescara was confirmed by Lexus Team KeePer Tom’s in SuperGT, where he will line-up alongside rookie Ryo Hirakawa. In the GT competition, Andrea will try to go for the title, a goal that slipped away at a last gasp in 2014. Thanks to the great results he scored on-track though, he was also selected for a full-time ride in the Super Formula championship. As a replacement for Loic Duval and Andrè Lotterer, Caldarelli scored one pole and one podium finish in two events. As a consequence, Toyota decided to line him up full-time at Lenovo Team Impul

Andrea Caldarelli

“I can't wait to hear the engines roar again. The 2014 season has been a great one for me, because we were at the top of the game despite the series' technical revolution. I thank Toyota for the trust they put in me by confirming my participation with Lexus Team KeePer Tom’s in Super GT and adding me to their Super Formula line-up with Impul. I am in two of the best racing teams in Japan, and I'm sure we will be able to get some great satisfactions this year”
