Blok looks forward to competing at his home track
Tue 26, May, 2015

This coming weekend Beachburg Ontario native Nathan Blok will be back behind the wheel in the Tenaquip/Aurora Tools/Zenith Saftey Products car No. 88.   The 3rd and 4th round of the Canadian Formula 2000 Championship series is being run at the Calabogie Motorsport Park with Blok's schedule being focused on the race on Saturday and Sunday, May 30 & 31.

Blok is no stranger to the Calabogie track, which was the scene of several of his accomplishments:  his first race in a car (2009) which ended with his first podium finish, his first race victory in a car (2010) and his first clean sweep weekend – both poles, both wins, which sealed his 2012 championship, and making him the the youngest champion and back-to-back winner of the Formula Tour Series.

Blok’s first outing with Britian West Motorsports this season was at the historic Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (formerly Mosport Park) in May as part of the Canadian F2000 Championship.   Despite this being Blok’s first time at the CT Motorsport Park his results were impressive:  double pole positions and double podium finishes, winning the 1st race of the inaugural race of the Canadian Formula 2000 Championship.

The 21-year old Engineering student is looking forward a very competitive weekend at this technically challenging 5.05 KM, 20-Turn road course, and continued success at his “home” race. “We had some good momentum at Mosport and I look forward to keeping the ball rolling going into Calabogie. The track is bit longer and more technical than Mosport, so hopefully lap traffic will not play as much as a factor this time and I hope to take the Tenaquip/Aurora Tools/Zenith Safety Products car to a pair of victories.”
