Prema's Valencia test round-up
The 2007 World Series Renault season officially came to an end with the three day tests held this week at Valencia. The tests also represented the last chance to see the 05-07 Dallaras in action, as new-generation cars will be supplied to the teams in a short time (the Italian constructor was retained as the series' official chassis outfitter).
Prema Powerteam entered all three days, alternating several drivers during the six available sessions. Carlos Iaconelli and Michael Herck hit the tack on Friday 28, and the feedback received from both proved to be quite positive. Herck was constantly fighting in the leading pack, while the Brazilian had to deal with an electronic problem that affected his car's clutch system.
Spanish youngster Miguel Molina, lined-up for two days (29-30), clocked the 4th fastest time overall, impressing all the staff, as well-known former Formula 3 Euro Series driver Yelmer Buurman had a great performance too on the last day, rounding out the overall top-10.
