Tough weekend at Mugello for Prema
Prema Powerteam experienced a tough weekend at Mugello, as both races of the F.Renault Italia Cup were heavily conditioned by the bad weather conditions. Despite the thick rain, Kazimieras Vasiliauskas scored a good points finish, proving his good shape after being jus back racing from the bad crash suffered at Budapest. The Lithuanian was the best among the Prema drivers in qualifying, rounding out the top-15, while Patrick Reiterer took 20th place and Carlos Munoz ended up in 33rd with improving track conditions. On Race 1 the asphalt was completely dry, though water was still present off the kerbs: Patrick Reiterer lost control and spun at lap 7, crashing backwards into the barriers. Munoz spun too after recovering up to 12th place, and was forced to stop when a rock blown his radiator, pushing his engine's temperature over the limits. In the meantime, Vasiliauskas bent a steering bracket while fighting with a rival, and was eventually forced to come back to the pits for good. Race 2 was definitely more positive for the team, although the distance was shortened due t o rain, and cars had to take off behind the safety car. While Vasiliauskas fought back to 8th, Reiterer ended up in 14th, and Munoz saw checkered in 19th after hitting a nosecone left on-track by another car.

I started this site in 2004 with about 100 pages related to the Formula 1 drivers of the 2004 season. Now, more than four years later it has grown a bit. How big is it, you ask? Total number of pages: 210744 (at Dec 01) Size of text in database: 47.5 MB While 47.5 MB might not sound like much...
