Success for Christodoulou at Thruxton GT
Adam Christodoulou successfully helped Craig Wilkins and Aron Scott secure their highest placed finish of the year with a victorious 2nd on Saturday 28th June.
Adam made his debut as a driver coach at Thruxton for rounds 9 and 10 of the Avon tyres British GT Championship with ABG Motorsport. The team have been really impressed with Adams performance in the Formula Renault UK Championship at Thruxton with Adam's achievements including 4 pole positions from 4 races and the current lap record.
With the help from Adam, team ABG Motorsport not only managed a 2nd place finish, but gained the fastest lap during Saturdays race.
Craig Wilkins said, 'After qualifying we sat down with Adam and analysed the data. Adam gave us some really sound advise on areas where he deemed we could gained those vital few tenths. He gave me advise on the entry and exit speeds on club chicane which really helped me around the track.
I think knowing we had the expert advise from someone with such detailed knowledge of the Thruxton track gave Aron and I such a confidence boost and really helped our race success.'
Amongst all the pit-lane chaos during the safety car lap on Saturday 28th Craig entered the pits in 7th position and with brilliant team work Aron emerged for his stint in a strong 2nd position. This builds the team confidence as they head off for rounds 11 and 12 at Brands Hatch on Saturday 12th July.
