Piscopo debuts at Sepang with Team Italy
Edoardo Piscopo will officially make his debut in the A1 Grand Prix of Nations on Friday, November 23, entering the Rookie Practice for his national team at Sepang. The Malaysian track hosts the third round of the 2008 series. Piscopo had his first taste of an A1GP car at Silverstone, taking the wheel of Piercarlo Ghinzani's Team Italy car in the collective pre-season testing. As the results proved to be successful, Edoardo will stay with Team Italy as a rookie driver also in Australia and New Zealand. Edoardo Piscopo competed in the Formula 3 Euro Series this year, and took part in the first World Series Renault winter tests.
Edoardo Piscopo:
"I'm coming to Sepang with the only experience of an half-day test on Team Italy's car at
Silverstone. These rookie practices represent an excellent way to develop my technical
understanding and find a positive feeling with the car. I never seen the track, that is famed
to be quite tough and technical to tame, but I'm not worried at all: I'll try to do the best I can
in the 50 minutes available. Italy's regular driver, Enrico Toccacelo, is a good friend of
mine and gave me many useful tips, the first being have a good physical preparation,
since Sepang is very demanding. I'm going to enter two more rookie practices in Australia
and New Zealand, and maybe then a sprint race. We'll see; many things will depend on
the performance level I'll be able to reach".

December 2 2008
I started this site in 2004 with about 100 pages related to the Formula 1 drivers of the 2004 season. Now, more than four years later it has grown a bit. How big is it, you ask? Total number of pages: 210744 (at Dec 01) Size of text in database: 47.5 MB While 47.5 MB might not sound like much...
