P1 AFR heads to Dubai with high expectations

After the first two rounds of the Lumina CSV Series that took place at the Bahrain International Circuit, UMA Motor Sports/P1 AFR stands second in the team points championship with it’s driving tandem of A.Aziz Al Ya’eesh and Fahad Hizam in 5th and 6th respectfully in the drivers points championship. The team is ramped up for rounds three and four this weekend at Dubai Autodrome, with the intention of taking the lead in the championship and continue their progression up the motorsports ladder.

Team sponsor United Motors Agencies came away very pleased with the early dividends this partnership is paying to a company very driven in their beginning stages of motorsports marketing. Saleh Naqeeb, Director of Sales and Marketing for UMA, was quoted as saying "UMA Management and motor sports enthusiasts in KSA were delighted at the incredible start to UMA Motor Sport/P1 AFR racing team participation in Lumina CSV Middle East Challenge series.”

Naqeeb continues, “Winning the first race of the season against tough competition gave us the confidence to move ahead with our plans to participate in other racing events in the region. In addition to active participation, the UMA team is finalizing plans for the launch of an ambitious project involving performance cars and support program to develop Saudi talent by not only sponsoring driver participation but also organizing racing events. In the coming weeks we anticipate making major announcements in this regard. Our team of Abdul Aziz Al Ya’eesh and Fahad Hizam are looking forward to the Dubai event. UMA management team and motor sports enthusiasts in Saudi Arabia will be closely following their progress in this championship".

The UMA Motor Sports/P1 AFR drivers will arrive to the Dubai circuit with only the highest sites set for the weekend, and that will be visibly apparent as they both don their new racing suits from P1 Groupe Marketing Partner, Motor Quality S.p.a. of Italy. This tandem has thus far has not qualified outside the top 10 thus far and look to continue that trend with a strong start this weekend as they set the pace for the rest of the field and for their season ahead.

Driver Database is huge
December 2 2008
I started this site in 2004 with about 100 pages related to the Formula 1 drivers of the 2004 season. Now, more than four years later it has grown a bit. How big is it, you ask? Total number of pages: 210744 (at Dec 01) Size of text in database: 47.5 MB While 47.5 MB might not sound like much...
