Danielsson makes it two in big style!

Alx Danielsson dominated the World Series weekend at Donington Park from start to finish by both races and scoring a pole position. The Swede started the first race from the front row, along side South African, Adrian Zaugg, and took the lead on the first lap and crossed the finish line with a margin of almost ten seconds. Alx then took pole position for the second race on Saturday, the gap to second place was more than half a second, and again Alx dominated the race from start to finish, this time finishing seven seconds ahead of Zaugg.

"We have been waiting for this result," said Alx. "We have been on the pace all year but the results have escaped us. I'm really happy for this result but in all honesty, it was expected. Comtec Racing is a super team and they have given me a great car all year long. It was only a matter of time before we ended up on top of the podium. I also would like to thank all my sponsors, investors, family and friends, that have given me such a great support this year and stuck with me through thick and thin - this is the best reward I could give them."

With the results from this weekend, Alx climbs to fourth place in the championship, and he is now within striking distance of the championship leader, Spaniard Andy Soucek.

"I'm the one who's on a roll right now," says Alx. "The other guys seem to struggle and now I have a definite shot at the title. I'm gonna give it my all in the last two race weekends."

Driver Database is huge
December 2 2008
I started this site in 2004 with about 100 pages related to the Formula 1 drivers of the 2004 season. Now, more than four years later it has grown a bit. How big is it, you ask? Total number of pages: 210744 (at Dec 01) Size of text in database: 47.5 MB While 47.5 MB might not sound like much...
