Christian Montanari: first free practice session at Bucharest Ring

It’s round 6 and the FIAGT Championship is in Bucharest, suffering the heat (around 35°). With the sun shining strongly onto the city circuit, and in the presence of the Romanian Prime Minister, the cars took to the track for the first time this weekend for the free practice.

At the start of the session, the GT2 cars warmed quicker to the circuit, setting the fastest times early on, but by the end, normality had resumed, with the GT1s setting the best times.

Christian Montanari and Thomas Biagi on the F430 Ferrari of the AF Corse Team, in the first free practice setted the 6th time of the category and the 15th total. The best lap was the 41st, with a time of 1:20.949 at the average speed of 136.57, just behind Collard’s and Westbrook’s Porche, that set a time of 1:20.908 with an average speed of 136.64.

Tomorrow at 8.15 am the pre – qualifying, qualifying practice at 1.15 pm and, at 6.15 pm, the first race.

Driver Database is huge
December 2 2008
I started this site in 2004 with about 100 pages related to the Formula 1 drivers of the 2004 season. Now, more than four years later it has grown a bit. How big is it, you ask? Total number of pages: 210744 (at Dec 01) Size of text in database: 47.5 MB While 47.5 MB might not sound like much...
