Top five finish for Carlin at Zolder
F3 Masters.
Red Bull racer Brendon Hartley led home the Carlin squad today, in an eventful RTL GP Masters of F3 Zolder. Managing to avoid various incidents off the start line, Hartley fought his way to fifth place, with Jaime Alguersuari taking eighth and Rodolfo Gonzalez ninth, meaning three Carlin cars finished in the top ten. Euro Series racer Richard Philippe failed to finish after an incident with Henkie Waldschmidt. As the lights went out for the start of the 2008 Masters of F3, two separate incidents before the first corner ended many dri... » Read morePromising start for Carlin at Zolder
F3 Masters.
Carlin Motorsport enjoyed a strong start to the 2008 RTL GP Master of F3 Zolder today, although a frustrating final qualifying session failed to deliver the team’s full potential. With the qualifying at Zolder split into two stages, all four Carlin cars made it through to the top group for second qualifying at the Belgian circuit. Despite looking strong with three cars in the top ten, a red flag in the final minutes of the session disrupted the proceedings, and by the chequered flag the team was headed by Brendon Hartley in ninth place... » Read moreCarlin confirms line-up for F3 Masters

Carlin Motorsport will take drivers from both its British F3 team and F3 Euro Series team to the RTL GP Masters of F3 Zolder this weekend. The British based squad, who are the only team to run cars in both the British and European championships, will be represented in Zolder by Red Bull duo Brendon Hartley and Jaime Alguersuari and Euro Series racers Rodolfo Gonzalez and Richard Philippe. Hartley and Alguersuari have been two of the front runners in this year’s British F3 series, taking six wins between them so far this season. Carlin Motorsport enjoyed an encouraging start to its Formula 3 Euro Series campaign today, with a promising performance at the first test of the season in Valencia, Spain. Joining 27 other Euro Series cars on track, Rodolfo Gonzalez and Richard Philippe took their place in the Carlin cars for their first taste of the European championship and finished the afternoon session 11th and 12th respectively.
