Barnes and Gornall are the 2008 British GT champions

British GT.
Jon Barnes and James Gornall were crowned the 2008 Avon Tyres British GT Champions this weekend at Brands Hatch in Kent, after taking an emphatic fourth win of the season on Saturday, then bringing their wounded Dodge Viper across the finish line in 7th position in Sunday's race. Jon and James now cannot be caught in the race for the championship, as they have a 23 point lead over their closest rivals, with just 20 points available from the final two races of the season. British GT.
A podium finish on Saturday and a race win from 11th on the grid on Sunday, allowed Jon Barnes and James Gornall to extend their lead to 25 points at the top of the 2008 British GT Championship - all at Jon's and Brookspeed Team Trimite's home circuit of Thruxton in Hampshire. There was no testing on the Friday of the British GT race weekend at Thruxton due to a restriction on the number of test days allowed at the circuit, so Saturday morning's hour-long free practice session was the first chance for the drivers to try the Dodge Viper aroun... » Read moreBarnes and Gornall storm to Snetterton victory

British GT.
A fantastic race win on Saturday and an impressive 2nd position in Sundays' race from 14th on the grid, allowed Jon Barnes and James Gornall to extend their lead in the 2008 British GT Championship! Friday morning at Snetterton in Norfolk arrived very wet and soggy for the first practice sessions of the weekend. Brookspeed Team Trimite had done a great job in repairing the Viper's bodywork damage from the second race at Rockingham, and the team were eager to fire up the car and get onto the circuit to defend their lead of the Championship. ... » Read moreBarnes and Gornall score first victory at Rockingham

British GT.
A dramatic Bank Holiday weekends' racing saw Jon Barnes and his Brookspeed Team Trimite team mate James Gornall score their first race victory in the British GT Championship at Rockingham in Northamptonshire. After a lengthy 6 week break, Brookspeed Team Trimite arrived at Rockingham feeling very optimistic and confident of being able to score some more valuable championship points. The championship organisers had also announced some amendments to the equalisation of the various GT cars in the championship in the week leading up to Rockingha... » Read moreBarnes claims first British GT podium finish at Knockhill

British GT.
Jon Barnes and his Brookspeed Team Trimite team mate James Gornall scored their first podium finish in an action packed weekend of racing in the British GT Championship at Knockhill in Scotland. The race weekend began with James and Jon breaking-in the Viper’s freshly rebuilt 8.3 litre V10 engine during Friday’s test sessions. In the first session, both drivers ran on old tyres and were under strict instructions not to rev the engine above 4000RPM. The session passed without any mishaps, although the drivers were unable to set a lap time th... » Read more
