Red Bull racer Jaime Alguersuari led the Carlin squad at a rain soaked Rockingham today, qualifying third for round seven of the 2008 British F3 International series and taking pole for round eight. A strong showing from the Hampshire based quad in the first qualifying session saw five Carlin drivers qualify inside the top ten, including National Class racer Andy Meyrick, who took pole position for both National Class races. The rain that hampered the F3 teams in Italy seemed to have followed the series back to Britain today, as heavy r... » Read moreQ&A with Andy Meyrick
Formula 3 Britain National class.
Carlin’s Andy Meyrick has been the revelation of the National Class championship so far this season, taking 83 points from a possible 84 and four race wins in as many starts. Despite his success, the Welsh racer admits he still isn’t completely happy with his own performance in his first year of British F3... How has it been going at Monza? It’s been a bit mixed to be honest. In the first session I was quite pleased with our pace, we were tenth quickest overall and quickest in the national class.
