The Norwegian Autosport Foundation, Norges Bilsportforbund, has given Anders Krohn from Sandnes, Norway the prize “Autosport Driver of the Year” 2008. On his 21st birthday, November 15th, the successful racing driver accepted the applause from over 500 Autosport-friends during the foundation’s annual prize giving ceremony. Indy Lights and Star Mazda.

Although there are no more races on the calendar for Norwegian racer Anders Krohn in 2008, his racing program keeps on running strong. Recently he completed his first tests in the Firestone Indy Lights and the Pro Formula Star Mazda, and did not fail to impress in his outings. “It’s been a dream come true to be able to test these cars, and hopefully it’s a taste of what’s to come. Things couldn’t have gone much better when recently crowned US Formula 2000 Champion, Anders Krohn, competed the final two races of the season at the newly built New Jersey Motorsports Park. He took the maximum points possible for one weekend, with two pole positions, two race wins and two fastest race laps. “What a way to cap off such a fantastic season. Anders Krohn enjoyed a picture perfect weekend at Mosport International Raceway in Canada, scoring two wins and a new track record en route to clinch the US Formula 2000 Championship title (F2000 Championship Series presented by Hoosier Racing Tire) with two rounds still remaining. “Fantastic! Rounds 9 and 10 of the US Formula 2000 Championship at Road America did not go as planned for Anders Krohn and his team, Andersen Racing. Having to retire from race one in the first corner and starting 37th in the second race was not what they had hoped for. “It was a very difficult weekend for the entire team and myself.
