Kiwi driver Chris van der Drift finished his first race weekend in the GP2 Asian series scoring points in both races. After clinching the 2008 International Formula Masters title in the weekends first race held on Saturday, Kiwi Chris van der Drift gave a dominant performance in Sunday’s race going from grid seven at the start to the lead by lap 10 of the 18 lap race, remaining unchallenged to the end. Kiwi driver Chris van der Drift can hardly believe it. In today’s race Van der Drift secured the title of 2008 International Formula Master champion by ending on the podium with a second placed finish. Race driver Chris van der Drift has shown that he belongs with the best today after testing at the French High Tech test Track Paul Ricard. The 22 year old New Zealander tested together with former F1-driver Narain Karthikeyan for the Italian GP2 team of Trident Racing.
