The 2008 Porsche Carrera Cup GB season drew to a close at Brands Hatch over the weekend, with Kent-based Jota Sport securing the runner-up spot in the teams' championship and third and fifth places in the drivers' standings at the end of what was their debut season in the UK's premier one-make series. Jota Sport bagged a pair of double podiums at Silverstone this weekend as they maintained their recent run of good form in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB championship. The team took their third and fourth successive pole positions through Phil Quaife who followed that up with a second and third, while a pair of podiums from Sam Hancock saw him jump one place to third in the drivers’ championship. Jota Sport continued their fine debut season in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB with a race victory, two pole positions and two further podiums as Britain’s premier one make series visited Knockhill in Scotland. Jota Sport had a challenging weekend after a strong qualifying session but both drivers brought home valuable points for the Kent-based team, solidifying their second position in the teams’ championship. Jota Sport secured their first-ever Porsche Carrera Cup GB pole position and saw both their drivers stand together on the podium in what was an eventful weekend for the Kent-based team at Snetterton. Race 1 Having set pole position by two hundredths of a second, Londoner Hancock led away from pole. Up until now the text "Complete results needed" were always shown for non-championship races eventhough race, pole, podium and fastest lap were reported.
