Caldarelli shines in the last show of the season

Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup.

A neverending weekend, that’s the one that Andrea Caldarelli experienced on the Montmelo racetrack in Barcellona, where he was competing both in the Renault 2.0 West European Cup and Eurocup championships’ last race of the season. The SG driver from Pescara really filled his contract: a win in WEC race2, two runner-up performances in Eurocup’s race 2 and WEC’s race 1, plus the third place in Eurocup’s race 1. In the European series, Caldarelli signed the second time in the Superpole right behind his team mate Ricciardo. At the start Vergne and ... » Read more

Caldarelli gets back to victory at Magny-Cours

Formula Renault 2.0 WEC.

SG Formula's Andrea Caldarelli experienced a really positive weekend at Magny-Cours. After scoring a number of podium finishes in the recent WEC and Eurocup F.Renault races, the Italian, part of the Toyota Driver Program, cruised to win on last weekend's Race 2. On the French racetrack he also took 4th place on Race 1, rounding a good score in the penultimate round of the West European Championship. After taking a front row spot by beating Albert Costa and team-mate Daniel Ricciardo in qualifying, Caldarelli had a great start, attacking pole-si... » Read more

Caldarelli takes podium finish at Spa-Francorchamps

Formula Renault 2.0 WEC.

Andrea Caldarelli faced tough weekend at Spa-Francorchamps, in an attempt to reverse the difficult Portuguese experience suffered at Estoril. The Italian found much more confidence in the Belgian round of the Formula Renault West European Cup (WEC), as well as a really competitive and reliable racecar, clinching two podium finishes despite the bad weather and temperature condition in all the three days. The TDP (Toyota Driver Program) pilot kept control on Race 1, staying at the top all-day long and trailing team-mate Daniel Ricciardo u... » Read more

Andrea Caldarelli hit by hard luck at Estoril

Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup.

Andrea Caldarelli faced another tour-de-force at Estoril, where he entered four races. The Italian Toyota Driver Program pilot took part in both the Eurocup F.Renault 2.0 and the F.Renault 2.0 West European Cup races with SG Formula. Despite coming to the Portuguese racetrack with high hopes and the lead in the Eurocup standings, Andrea faced a much tougher weekend than expected. A progressive loss of top speed on his racecar, together with braking issues didn't allow to defend the top spot, and forced him to leave the venue in 4th place.... » Read more

Andrea Caldarelli clinches Eurocup lead at Le Mans

Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup.

Andrea Caldarelli achieved his pre-race goal at Le Mans, where the Italian took the lead in the F.Renault Eurocup drivers' standings. The 18-year-old from Pescara, part of the Toyota Driver Program, experienced an extremely positive weekend on the French soil, as he paired the 98 points scored this season by team-mate Daniel Ricciardo with just two events to go, at Estoril and Barcelona. At Le Mans, Caldarelli lost a couple of spots at the start of Race 1, ending up in 4th. He promptly recovered though, by passing Valtteri Bottas and start... » Read more

Driver Database is huge
December 2 2008
I started this site in 2004 with about 100 pages related to the Formula 1 drivers of the 2004 season. Now, more than four years later it has grown a bit. How big is it, you ask? Total number of pages: 210744 (at Dec 01) Size of text in database: 47.5 MB While 47.5 MB might not sound like much...
