Carrera Cup Australia poised on a tightrope at Phillip Island

Porsche Carrera Cup Australia.
Round Seven of Carrera Cup Australia is evenly poised after Aaron Caratti (Parklands on Bertram) and Craig Baird (ACER/Leading Solutions) shared the spoils in today’s two races at the L&H 500 Phillip Island. Caratti and Baird head in to Sunday’s final race tied on 114 points after the pair each scored a race win and a second place in each of the two races today. Baird opened proceedings this morning with victory in Race One, before Caratti – who qualified on pole for Race One – replied in the best possible way with victory in Race Tw... » Read moreAaron Caratti makes it four wins in a row

Porsche Carrera Cup Australia.
Sometimes it all comes down to one decision. When Aaron Caratti’s (Parklands on Bertram) team decided to change from wet tyres to slicks in the last few minutes of qualifying this morning at Barbagallo Raceway he thought they were crazy. Heavy showers had proceeded the session and with a wet track Caratti wasn’t too keen on heading out on the faster tyres. But he did, snatched pole position on the last lap of the session and used the front row of the grid to drive off and take victory in Carrera Cup’s first race of the weekend this afternoon... » Read moreAaron Caratti fastest on day one

Porsche Carrera Cup Australia.
Local knowledge has proved the difference on day one of Carrera Cup Australia’s fourth round at Barbagallo Raceway today. With the category racing at the BigPond 400 in Perth this weekend, Perth’s Dean Fiore (Complispace/Advance Energy) and Aaron Caratti (Parklands on Bertram) have led the way by topping the round’s first two sessions. Caratti backed up his superb performance in Round Three – where he won all three races – by going quickest in the morning’s first practice session, but it was Fiore who headed the pack in the day’s second s... » Read morePerth's Aaron Caratti the one to beat at Barbagallo Raceway
Porsche Carrera Cup Australia.
Given Aaron Caratti’s performance in the third round of Carrera Cup Australia, he would be the favourite no matter where Round Four of the championship was being held. But considering the event is at Perth’s Barbagallo Raceway – Caratti’s home track – he is going to prove hard to beat when the championship heads there for the BigPond 400 this weekend. Caratti was unstoppable at the previous round at Wakefield Park, Goulburn, as the Parklands on Bertram racer led every lap of every race to record a hat-trick of race wins. The result roc... » Read more

News, updates, bugs, tired ramblings, small breakdowns and other stuff related to maintaining, adding and expanding Driver Database.A small bug fix
November 14 2008
Fixed a small bug today that's been visible on the driver's career details pages. Up until now the text "Complete results needed" were always shown for non-championship races eventhough race, pole, podium and fastest lap were reported. A bit confusing really - but now we should be rid of it (unless ...
